Meet our leadership team

Hannah Gibson - CEO
Hannah Gibson

CEO

Hi, I’m Hannah. I’m the CEO of Ocado Retail and I’m thrilled to be leading this incredible business.
I’ve spent more than 10 years at Ocado in a range of senior customer, commercial and technology positions – most recently, as Chief Product Officer for Ocado Technology. Before the launch of Ocado Retail, I held a number of roles on the Ocado Leadership team, including as Head of Ocado Zoom and Head of Product & Merchandising. I hold a Politics and Economics degree from the University of Cambridge.
Favourite thing about shopping at Ocado: I love to cook for my family and friends so for me it’s the range of products that we offer – I like to experiment with different foods so I’m always able to find something new to try.

Mathew Ankers - Chief Financial Officer
Mathew Ankers

Chief Financial Officer

Hi, I’m Mat. I joined Ocado in September 2023 and lead finance, operations and insight for the business.

Life Before Ocado: I’ve spent the last 8 years of my professional life at Pepco Group N.V. a high growth, publicly listed discount retailer with stores across Europe in a variety of finance, strategy and transformation roles. Prior to Pepco Group I held finance roles with French Connection and Telefonica. I’ve been fortunate that across my career I’ve been able to live and work across Europe doing stints in Madrid, Marseille and Poznan. I’m a chartered accountant and have a Philosophy and Politics degree from Durham University.

Favourite thing about shopping at Ocado: As a busy household, I love the convenience and service of our offer. The instant shop feature makes sure we don’t forget the basics for our boys’ lunches and the inspiration from the recipes make it incredibly easy to make something new either as a family or as a couple.

Rose Price - Interim Chief Commercial Officer
Rose Price

Interim Chief Commercial Officer

Hi, I’m Rose. I’m responsible for buying and commercial strategy. My Ocado adventure started in 2010 when I joined as Head of Buying, and later became Buying Director. I have vast experience in the food industry, encompassing food retailing, cash and carry and supply chain, and I have a reputation for my knowledge from ‘farm gate to plate’. I can definitely say I understand the former really well, as I am married to a farmer; as a result, breakfast conversations in our house can be particularly interesting.

Life before Ocado: I started out in the meat industry back when it was very much a man’s world. I then moved into the grocery sector, where I held various positions, starting as a store trainee. My passion to work abroad took me to France for a two year stint at Metro’s training academy (I can still order the essentials in French: wine and coffee!), then to Somerfield as Head of Buying. Next, I moved into online as Buying Director for Abel & Cole which gave me the taste for eCommerce. I hold an MBA from the University of Stirling.

Favourite thing about shopping at Ocado: is finding all the unusual and amazing ingredients. I particularly love being able to get my favourite seasonal ingredients throughout the year, such as perfectly ripe figs and Megrim (Cornish Sole).

Jonathan Wiseman - General Counsel & Chief People Officer
Jonathan Wiseman

General Counsel & Chief People Officer

Hi, I’m Jonathan. I’m the General Counsel and Chief People Officer at Ocado Retail with responsibility for our Legal, People and Sustainability functions. My Ocado adventure started in 2013 in the legal team at Ocado Group, for the last three years as Deputy General Counsel, primarily responsible for Ocado Solutions. My Ocado highlight to date was negotiating the terms on which Ocado Group would provide tech and services to Ocado Retail!

Life before Ocado: I worked at Slaughter and May for nine years practising corporate law. I have a BA(Hons) in Classics and English from Oxford University.

Favourite thing about shopping at Ocado: Where to start? Sparing my kids the drudgery of being dragged around a supermarket is enough in itself, but add to that the amazing and ever-expanding range, lovely drivers and incredible service and I’m pretty hooked!

Laura Harricks - Chief Customer Officer
Laura Harricks

Chief Customer Officer

Hi, I’m Laura. I joined Ocado in July 2020, and I’m responsible for leading our end-to-end customer and brand experience.

Life before Ocado: I moved to the UK in 2008 after several years as a management consultant in Australia, France and the USA. In London, I joined Dixons Carphone and worked across a variety of commercial and marketing roles, before becoming the Online Trading and Marketing Director for Carphone Warehouse in 2016. I joined Monsoon Accessorize as Digital Director in 2019, where I was responsible for global ecommerce; also running their digital transformation programme, including a full site re-platform. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Mech/Biomed) & Bachelor of Arts (French) from the University of Sydney.

Favourite thing about shopping at Ocado: I love being on the receiving end of our service, I really appreciate the attention we give to what matters as a customer. Lots of delivery slots (Green options included). Wide range so I can decide where the basics will do and where I want to trade up. An offer that goes way beyond groceries – save me with kids essentials, lunchboxes, toys, socks etc. The ease of a “favourite shop”. Plus our service is super reliable and our drivers are the friendliest.
